Kei London Visual Art Agency sources, commissions and produces work by contemporary artists for brand campaigns, events, exhibitions and hospitality venues. We work with brands, creative and PR agencies, event producers, property and hospitality businesses, venues and cultural partners in London and internationally.
Recent projects include The Daffodil Collection for Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal, Glowing Waves with Douglas & Gordon in Kensington, and Play Time’s Over at The Hux Hotel on London.
What we take on
Artist sourcing and curation to a brief. You have a concept and a date. We propose artists whose work fits both, with samples, availability and indicative costs. Most clients come to us because finding the right contemporary artist is slow and they do not have the time to do it. Artist participation is subject to availability and final confirmation.
Artwork commissions for campaigns. New work made to a concept and a deadline. In March 2024, Marie Curie commissioned Lisa Buchanan, known as Dangerosa and represented by Kei London, to create The Daffodil Collection for its Great Daffodil Appeal. Four paintings of the end of life by Edvard Munch, Ary Scheffer and Nils Dardel were reimagined to feature four Marie Curie nurses and a healthcare assistant. The works were shown free for one day at 56 Conduit Street in Mayfair and auctioned afterwards.
A curated programme within a larger event. A section of your event that you do not have to design or staff. In PIVOTAL: Digitalism we selected and presented six artists, coordinated ViewSonic UK and Cube10.io as technology partners, and delivered projection mapping, an interactive data driven sculpture, AI film and live music across four days.
Art led event programming. In December 2024 we co-organised Neon Frequencies at The Beauchamp in Knightsbridge, a programme combining contemporary and digital art, fashion and music, with six featured visual artists and a runway directed by Caden Crouch.
Exhibition activation in hospitality and retail venues. Turning a hang into something people arrive for. At The Hux Hotel in Kensington we worked with Martin Kurrina on a closing night in which performers carried and activated works from Dangerosa's exhibition.
Art in residential and property settings. Placing work and hosting private viewings in homes and developments. In July 2024 we co-hosted Glowing Waves with Shash Stephen of Douglas & Gordon at a residence on Kensington Church Street, with work by Suki Wang alongside a poetry reading and live music.
How a project runs
The brief comes first. Tell us the concept, the venue, the date and the budget range, and we tell you within five working days whether we can do it.
We then propose artists. You see work samples, a note on why each one fits, confirmed availability and costs. You choose.
Nothing begins before a signed agreement and a deposit. Production, materials and travel are paid in advance. Our standard terms are a deposit on appointment and the balance before activation.
We produce and deliver. Artist agreements, making, framing or fabrication, transport, installation and de-install, with one point of contact throughout.
What we handle
Artist agreements and fees. Copyright, licensing and usage rights, priced separately from the artwork and never assumed to transfer with it. Production and fabrication. Transport, installation and removal. Insurance. Image approvals and credit lines.
One contract. One invoice.
An account manager working to a client deadline is buying the absence of risk, and that is the part of this we take most seriously.
